I have seen a champion discus (Male) spawning since 1998. He is now 8 years old.
He still can do the job well. How long he can carry on. Nobody knows.
If he is healthy, being taking care well, he still can live on for many years.
If you want your discus fish to live long, don’t force grow them. Control their diet.
