Discus Breeding Size

I would like to know, how big ( in inches ) the discus have to be to breed. Please answer my question, I’m really intrested in breeding discus, I love them… thanks

The maturity does not depend on size.
The maturity counts on age.
Different strains vary different maturity.
Red base strains mature early. e.g. melon, Pigeon. ( 8 to 10 months)
Blue Diamond takes 12 to 18 months.
When it is mature, it can be 4″ to 5″. It will breed.
