Eggs turn white after a few hours?

Written by allan on . Posted in Breeding

The ph is around 7 and the conductivity is 80 ms. The eggs turn white after a few hours. This has happened about three times now. This pair has had a about 2-3 sucessful spawns before. What can be the reason for this?

Reply:

Unfertile eggs will turn white. Too many spawning also can cause eggs turn white. Either the male has no sperm or the female’s eggs not ripe.

Allow them to rest for some time. Apply Methylene Blue solution after spawn.
