How long Fry with their parents?

Written by allan on . Posted in Breeding

My discus pair had now a good number of fry. I did leave the fry with their parents for 15 days and today I’ve released them in another aquarium. Water level is about 3 inches and airstone to circulate water. About 5 or 6 of them stays sideways like dead for a while and then continue to swim with others. Feeding brine shrimps and egg york.PH 6.5 and GH 4.Methelene blue was added when transfered as well. Is this their normal attitude or is there something wrong?

Reply:
There is no hurry to transfer the fry so early.
You can keep the fry together with the parents and feed them with Brine shrimps.
The fry will grow faster and healthier.
