Raising Fry

Written by allan on . Posted in Breeding

When fry have left the parents side, I get a great deal of losses. I put them in a 12gal tank, water change 50% every day at 6.8ph. What else can I do?

Reply:
When you transfer the fry, it must be carried out very carefully; otherwise you will lose all of them. Allow them to grow bigger with their parents. The parents will look after them better than you. The difference of water quality can stress them. Not in the presence of their parents, the fry can easily get sick. When in fry stage, it is to change the most 20% of water. Then gradually increase.
