Tank and Water

I am researching the care of discus fish with the hopes of soon purchasing some discus. I need to know where I can find chlorine test kits (also, hardness tests) so that I can test the water for chlorine to prevent harm to the fish.

Also, I have included a link to a tap water purification system I have found at Petsmart. It is designed to remove chlorine, chloramine, and other harmful aspects of tap water. Is this a system with which you are familiar? Would it be sufficient? Is it an effective, efficient replacement for $300 systems I have found in my research?

Reply:
You can get chlorine tester at the aquarium shop.
Water purification sytem can get pure water.
But you will lose all kinds of natural mineral that discus require in the water.
You only need to ensure chlorine free and PH to have healthy growing discus.
